Duties and Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in litigation related to commercial real estate, distressed loans, debt and security instruments, and creditor and lender liability.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Take and defend depositions and effectively manage pre-trial and trial procedures.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Provide sound legal advice and strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and manage case settlements.
  • Attend and represent clients in court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other legal professionals to develop and implement case strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of diverse litigation experience, including commercial real estate and distressed loans.
  • Proven experience in handling depositions and courtroom litigation.
  • Strong academic background and solid law firm or clerking experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving, writing, and communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Florida State Bar.
