Senior Coverage Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a seasoned Senior Coverage Attorney to join their dynamic team. This role requires an individual with substantial expertise in insurance coverage law to handle complex legal issues and provide strategic guidance. The candidate will work primarily from the office, contributing to the firm's commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.

Duties:

• Analyze and interpret insurance policies to advise clients on coverage issues and disputes.
• Represent clients in litigation and arbitration related to insurance coverage matters.
• Draft legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and appeals.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in disputes involving insurance coverage.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and paralegals to manage case preparation and strategy.
• Maintain a minimum of 1875 billable hours per year.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys and legal staff.
• Stay updated with changes in insurance law and contribute to the firm’s knowledge base.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 7 years of experience specializing in insurance coverage.
• Licensed to practice law in California.
• Proven track record of handling complex insurance coverage cases.
• Strong ability to analyze legal documents and case data.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and team-management abilities.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of California.
