A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of transactional experience in real estate law, including work on acquisitions, sales, financing, and leasing transactions. Experience with subleases, licenses, easements, loan documents, corporate formation documents, and due diligence materials is essential. Candidates with a background in transactions under threat of eminent domain will be preferred. The position requires excellent academic credentials from a top law school, current Bar admission, and prior law firm experience.

Duties

  • Assist clients with real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, financing, and leasing.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate documents related to subleases, licenses, easements, and loan agreements.
  • Prepare corporate formation documents and due diligence materials for real estate transactions.
  • Conduct legal research and provide advice on real estate law issues.
  • Manage and coordinate real estate closings and ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Represent clients in negotiations with developers, investors, and public agencies.
  • Address and manage transactions involving potential eminent domain issues.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to develop and execute legal strategies.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of transactional experience in real estate law.
  • Experience with real estate acquisitions, sales, financing, and leasing transactions.
  • Proficiency in handling documents related to subleases, licenses, easements, loan agreements, and corporate formation.
  • Knowledge of due diligence processes in real estate transactions.
  • Experience with transactions under threat of eminent domain is a plus.
  • Excellent academic credentials from a top law school.
  • Active Bar admission in California.
  • Previous law firm experience is required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Bar License in California.
