Job Overview:

A well-established law firm located in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is currently seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join their dynamic team. This role is designed for a dedicated attorney with 5+ years of experience in handling personal injury and property damage litigation, with a strong focus on trial preparation and client advocacy. Ideal candidates will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for litigation, and the ability to manage complex cases from inception through resolution.

Duties:

• Manage and handle a caseload of personal injury litigation matters, from inception through trial or settlement.
• Conduct detailed legal research into relevant laws and regulations to support case strategies.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court hearings and trials.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, responses, and other legal documents for state and federal court cases.
• Take and defend depositions, managing all aspects of the discovery process, including requests, responses, and motions.
• Collaborate with clients and provide updates regarding case developments, outcomes, and strategies.
• Investigate facts related to cases, using innovative and pragmatic approaches to strengthen claims.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience handling personal injury litigation cases.
•  5-10 years of general defense or plaintiff litigation experience
• Active and in good standing with the Florida State Bar.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.
• Motivated and proactive, with a commitment to achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida State Bar or another state bar.

Skills:

• Expertise in personal injury litigation, including property damage claims.
• Proficient in drafting legal documents, such as motions and discovery responses.
• Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Ability to handle depositions, court appearances, and case management effectively.

Job Location:

• Fort Lauderdale, FL (also open to candidates from Orlando, Tampa, or Jacksonville)
