A law firm is seeking a Mid-to-Senior level Corporate Healthcare Transactional Associate Attorney to join their team in San Diego, CA. The candidate will have the opportunity to advise some of the most dynamic and innovative healthcare clients in the country in all phases of their transactional businesses. This role primarily focuses on strategic transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, asset and equity acquisition transactions, venture capital and private equity investments, and joint venture transactions. The attorney will also assist clients with their corporate and organizational workflow, including formations, capital raises, operational strategy, contract negotiations, and other day-to-day corporate matters.

 

Duties:

  • Advise healthcare clients on all phases of their transactional businesses.
  • Handle strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, asset and equity acquisition transactions.
  • Manage venture capital and private equity investments.
  • Oversee joint venture transactions.
  • Assist clients with corporate and organizational workflow.
  • Facilitate formations, capital raises, and operational strategies.
  • Conduct contract negotiations and manage other day-to-day corporate matters.
  • Communicate directly with clients and third-party advisors regularly.
  • Take ownership of projects and work effectively as a team member.

 

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and/or private equity in healthcare.
  • Admission to the Bar in the state.
  • Excellent oral communication, writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Strong communication skills with clients and third-party advisors.

 

Education:

Outstanding academic credentials from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Must be admitted to the Bar in the state.

 

Skills:

  • Expertise in strategic transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity investments.
  • Strong organizational and workflow management skills.
  • Proficient in contract negotiation and day-to-day corporate matters.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to manage projects independently.
