Job Overview: A law firm in Irvine, CA, seeks a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney with 4+ years of broad-based litigation experience. This role requires a solid academic background and admission to the California Bar.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex litigation matters.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses.
  • Prepare for and participate in all aspects of the litigation process, including motion practice, depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Manage case files and maintain clear, organized documentation.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and client communications.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar with good standing.
  • 4+ years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Proven experience handling commercial litigation cases, focusing on breach of contract, tortious interference with contract, and breach of fiduciary duty.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Excellent oral advocacy skills and courtroom experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in large law firm settings.
  • Familiarity with electronic discovery and litigation support tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California Bar.
