This role involves managing complex cases, conducting thorough legal research, drafting substantial legal documents, and representing clients in various legal settings. The candidate must demonstrate exceptional litigation skills and a strong work ethic while meeting an annual billable hour requirement.

Duties:

  • Review and analyze files related to general liability claims and causes of action.
  • Conduct extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
  • Represent clients regularly in court, at arbitrations, and during depositions.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests.
  • Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses as needed.
  • Prepare for and attend trials, including developing case strategies and presenting evidence.
  • Meet an annual billable hour requirement of 1950 hours.
  • Handle case-related travel as needed for client meetings, court appearances, and depositions.
  • Respond promptly to email and phone inquiries from clients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate excellent client interaction skills and maintain a professional telephone manner.

Requirements:

  • J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Admitted to practice in the State of Florida; admission in additional states is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in general liability, with experience in premises liability preferred.
  • Exceptional writing, research, and litigation skills.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong research capabilities and effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to self-manage a high caseload while working effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to meeting annual billable hour targets.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in Florida; additional state admissions are advantageous.
