Attorneys in this role will have the opportunity to handle significant cases, with a focus on pre-trial work, investigations, trial preparation, and client interactions. Candidates will be expected to take on substantial responsibilities early in their careers and contribute to the firm’s litigation efforts in various capacities.

Location:

  • Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

  • Handle complex and high-profile commercial litigation matters, ranging from pre-complaint assessment to trial.
  • Lead investigations, manage discovery, and formulate litigation strategies.
  • Write legal briefs, manage motions, and argue before courts.
  • Prepare witnesses for trial and take depositions.
  • Contribute to the day-to-day management of litigation tasks.
  • Advise clients on litigation avoidance strategies and internal legal issues.
  • Potential for significant client contact depending on experience.
  • Travel for trials, hearings, and depositions as required.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in commercial litigation, including areas such as intellectual property, securities, class actions, business torts, and more.
  • Strong litigation experience, including pre-trial work, investigations, and trial preparation.
  • Exceptional writing skills, particularly for briefs and legal documents.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to develop a practice and manage cases.
  • Judicial clerkship experience is encouraged, but not required for candidates with proven litigation experience.
  • Strong commitment to delivering high-quality legal services to clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic record with demonstrated leadership and litigation skills.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California Bar preferred but not required initially.

Skills:

  • Expertise in commercial litigation across various industries (e.g., IP, securities, privacy, class actions, etc.).
  • Strong legal writing and research skills.
  • Ability to manage complex cases and collaborate with senior attorneys and clients.
  • Experience in taking depositions, preparing trial strategies, and managing discovery.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact directly with clients.
