The attorney will manage a variety of criminal defense cases, provide expert legal advice, and collaborate closely with a dedicated legal team. Federal Court experience is required.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on their legal rights and draft necessary legal documents.
  • Represent clients at pretrial hearings and provide strategic advice after each session.
  • Manage court appearances, trial proceedings, draft motions, interview witnesses, and conduct legal research.
  • Analyze potential case outcomes using legal precedents.
  • Oversee a caseload and ensure timely progression.
  • Deliver legal insights to clients, assessing any potential case advantages.
  • Collect additional evidence to strengthen the client’s case or rebut prosecution claims.
  • Prepare clients for depositions and develop case strategies with input from witnesses and experts.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in criminal defense.
  • Proficiency in handling complex criminal cases at both state and federal levels.
  • Strong team player, eager to collaborate with fellow attorneys and legal staff.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be admitted to practice law in the state of Texas.

Certifications:

  • Active Texas State Bar license.
