Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join their team. The attorney will manage plaintiff personal injury caseloads from claim through litigation and trial, interact with insurance companies and defense counsel, and represent clients in various legal proceedings.

Job Duties:

• Manage plaintiff personal injury caseloads from the initial claim process through litigation and trial.
• Interact and negotiate with insurance companies and defense counsel on behalf of clients.
• Communicate effectively and maintain positive client relationships throughout the legal process.
• Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and other legal documents as required.
• Conduct and defend depositions of parties and witnesses.
• Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and jury trials.
• Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
• Excel in a fast-paced work environment, demonstrating exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Provide responsive and compassionate client service, committed to achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
• Exhibit outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in Missouri.
• Active license to practice law in Kansas (desired).
• 1-3 years of personal injury litigation experience.
