Job Overview: A recruiting firm is seeking an experienced Transactional Attorney on behalf of a prestigious law firm located in the Houston Galleria area. The attorney will provide expert legal counsel to clients on a wide range of complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and commercial contracts. The role offers significant responsibility, working directly with clients, managing deals from inception through closing, and contributing to the firm’s business development efforts.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on transactional matters, including drafting and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Oversee mergers, acquisitions, and corporate transactions, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct due diligence, review legal documentation, and advise clients on potential risks.
  • Collaborate with internal team members and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction processes.
  • Identify opportunities for client relationship expansion and contribute to business development.
  • Manage billing procedures and ensure accurate fee tracking to maintain client satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years of experience handling business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and contracts.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to manage complex transactions independently.
  • Proven negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and provide tailored legal advice.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Texas State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with a collaborative approach to client and team interactions.
  • Ability to think creatively and exercise sound judgment in managing legal matters.
