The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in employment law, including drafting employment agreements, handling day-to-day employment issues, and assisting with lawsuit discovery. Duties:

  • Draft employment agreements and other employment-related documents (such as employee handbooks, policies, etc.)
  • Research and provide legal guidance on day-to-day employment issues
  • Assist with lawsuit discovery and motion practice
  • Draft briefs and participate in litigation activities
  • Support employment-related due diligence for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals
  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to the firm’s growing employment law practice
  • Provide legal counsel on a variety of employment law issues, including compliance, wrongful termination, discrimination, and wage and hour matters

Requirements:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • 1-3 years of experience in employment law
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Experience in drafting employment agreements and handling day-to-day employment issues
  • Experience with discovery, motions, and brief drafting
  • Ability to support employment-related due diligence in M&A transactions (preferred)
  • Entrepreneurial, team-oriented, and highly motivated to serve clients
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Previous experience in an employment law group at a large law firm or boutique firm preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in Colorado (or eligible to become admitted)

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of employment law and related matters
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills
  • Proficiency in drafting and reviewing employment agreements, handbooks, and policies
  • Ability to assist with discovery and litigation-related tasks
  • Strong client service orientation and ability to work collaboratively
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
