Job Overview: A law firm in Miami, FL, is seeking a Mid-Level Private Equity Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience advising private equity firms and their portfolio companies in complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, equity investments, and general corporate matters. This role requires a JD degree and admission to practice law in Florida.

Duties:

  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce high-quality deliverables, answer phone calls, and respond to correspondence promptly.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of work products.
  • Meet deadlines and expectations consistently.
  • Foster positive relationships within the firm and with external stakeholders.
  • Adhere to all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in various activities, including working at a computer, participating in virtual meetings, and attending conferences as required.
  • Perform additional duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience advising private equity firms in complex transactions.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and equity investments preferred.
  • Previous experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm or with SEC matters is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated business judgment and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective research and problem-solving abilities.
  • Conceptual thinking and ability to influence others.
  • Persuasive communication and management skills.
  • Admission to practice law in Florida is required.
