Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced eDiscovery Attorney to join its team. This position is designed for professionals with knowledge of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and a strong interest in gaining further expertise in this area. The role involves managing complex eDiscovery projects, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring that timelines and budgets are adhered to. Ideal candidates will be able to work efficiently under pressure, communicate effectively, and demonstrate high levels of performance and commitment to excellence. The position is not on the partnership track and requires bar admission in the jurisdiction where the candidate is practicing.

Location:

Duties:

  • Manage eDiscovery work on complex litigation matters.
  • Supervise project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Draft and negotiate discovery-related protocols, orders, and agreements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the case team, including partners and clients, regarding eDiscovery project execution and implementation.
  • Coordinate with case teams, clients, and vendors for data identification and collection.
  • Prepare budgets/estimates for review projects and manage monthly revenue forecasting and invoice review.
  • Develop and manage document review workflows, including quality control processes.
  • Oversee the preparation of document productions.
  • Provide training and guidance to review attorneys to improve work product and performance.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or LL.M.
  • Admission to the Bar in the jurisdiction where applying.
  • 3-5 years of experience working in eDiscovery, with prior experience in law firms, government, or in-house legal teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or LL.M. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and writing abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong business judgment, capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
