A law firm in Denver, CO, is seeking a highly experienced Renewables Attorney to join their team. This attorney will provide expert legal counsel on a variety of renewable energy projects, focusing on facilities operations and power purchase agreements. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell facilities, as well as a strong understanding of smart grid technology, energy storage, and energy efficiency. The role requires a commitment to exceptional client service, effective interpersonal collaboration, and clear communication. The position demands a JD degree, active Bar membership, and a portable book of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Counsel clients on legal aspects of renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell facilities.
  • Manage and negotiate power purchase agreements, facility operation agreements, and other key contracts.
  • Provide legal guidance on regulatory compliance, facilities operations, and industry best practices.
  • Advise on smart grid technology, energy storage solutions, and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on emerging trends and technologies in the renewable energy sector.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to address legal challenges and support project success.
  • Resolve legal disputes and manage challenges related to renewable energy projects.
  • Develop and maintain a portable book of business, demonstrating a robust client base in the renewable energy sector.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing of the Bar.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in renewable energy law.
  • Proven track record of a portable book of business.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell technologies.
  • Familiarity with smart grid technology, energy storage systems, and energy efficiency.
