Duties:

• Handle patent prosecution and strategic patent portfolio management for a diverse client base.
• Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications for medical devices, mechanical technologies, and digital health.
• Provide legal counsel on patent matters, including infringement analysis and patentability opinions.
• Collaborate with inventors and clients to understand their inventions and ensure proper protection.
• Conduct prior art searches and analyze patent landscapes.
• Prepare and present legal arguments in patent disputes and enforcement actions.
• Stay current with developments in intellectual property law and relevant scientific fields.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of patent prosecution experience, preferably in a law firm environment.
• Patent Bar membership is required.
• A background in cell or molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, cancer biology, pharmacology, biophysics, or related disciplines.
• Experience drafting and prosecuting medical device, mechanical, and basic electrical technology-related applications.
• Additional experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, chemical compositions, and software is a plus.
• Law degree from an accredited law school.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Patent Bar membership.
