The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in first party property, insurance defense, and insurance coverage litigation. Duties and Responsibilities

• Handle a caseload of first party insurance coverage and insurance defense matters.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, and motions for both state and federal courts.
• Take and defend depositions, ensuring thorough preparation and execution.
• Make court appearances and represent clients effectively in all stages of litigation.
• Assist with trial preparation, including organizing evidence and preparing witnesses.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft well-supported legal documents.
• Provide clear and effective communication with clients regarding case status and strategy.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff within the firm to ensure the highest level of client service.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance adjusters.
• Stay current with developments in insurance law and regulations.
• Manage case files from inception through resolution with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in first party insurance coverage and insurance defense litigation.
• Solid first party property experience is required.
• Practical case management experience in both state and federal courts, including trial experience, is preferred.
• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Florida.
• Excellent research and writing skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to draft pleadings, discovery, and motions effectively.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Education
