A law firm in Edmond, OK, is seeking a motivated and versatile Associate Attorney with 1-5 years of experience or a strong interest in insurance defense, construction litigation, probate, estate planning, business law, and trademarks. The successful candidate will handle a variety of legal matters, attend court appearances statewide, and contribute to the firm's diverse practice areas. Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in various legal matters including insurance defense, construction litigation, probate, estate planning, business law, and trademarks.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and provide informed legal advice.
  • Draft, review, and revise legal documents such as pleadings, motions, contracts, and estate planning documents.
  • Attend court appearances and hearings across Oklahoma, with travel reimbursement provided.
  • Manage case files, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop and implement case strategies.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Ensure all deadlines and procedural requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the firm’s overall success by meeting billable hour targets and participating in firm activities.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Oklahoma Bar and licensed to practice law in Oklahoma.
  • 1-5 years of experience in relevant practice areas or a demonstrated interest in developing expertise in these areas.
  • Experience or interest in attending court appearances statewide, with the ability to travel as needed.
