Duties

• Draft memorandums, appeals, and motions to reopen for immigration-related appellate work.
• Prepare and file appeals with EOIR, the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and federal circuit courts.
• Handle cases involving FOIA requests, analyzing documents to inform legal strategies.
• Collaborate with the immigration team to develop effective case arguments for clients facing removal or seeking relief.
• Stay updated on developments in immigration law relevant to appellate and federal cases.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court and firm standards.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience in Immigration Law, with a focus on legal writing and appellate work.
• Demonstrated experience in drafting appeals for EOIR, BIA, and federal circuit courts.
• Strong familiarity with motions to reopen and FOIA-related cases.
• Exceptional legal writing and research skills, with a proven ability to produce high-quality legal documents.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
• Experience with Case Management Software preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the state bar.
