Job Overview: A law firm specializing in intellectual property litigation seeks a Mid-Level Pharmaceutical Patent Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Boston, MA office. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in life sciences or pharmaceutical patent litigation, including Hatch-Waxman litigation, and will assist in dispute counseling for pharmaceutical clients.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents related to pharmaceutical patent litigation.
  • Assist senior attorneys in managing complex litigation matters, including pre-trial and trial activities.
  • Analyze scientific and technical aspects of patents and pharmaceutical products.
  • Participate in client meetings, depositions, hearings, and trials as needed.
  • Provide strategic advice and counsel to pharmaceutical clients regarding patent disputes and regulatory matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in life sciences or pharmaceutical patent litigation, focusing on Hatch-Waxman litigation.
  • Undergraduate degree in biology, chemistry, or other relevant pharmaceutical industry fields.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Registration to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) or ability to qualify for registration.

Skills:

  • Strong litigation and legal research skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations and procedures related to pharmaceuticals is a plus.
