Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced eDiscovery Attorney to join its team. This position requires expertise in the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and a commitment to further developing skills in all aspects of eDiscovery. The ideal candidate will manage complex litigation matters, oversee multiple projects, and communicate effectively with case teams and clients. This role is not on the partnership track and requires the candidate to be admitted to the bar in the jurisdiction where the position is located.

Location:

  • Short Hills, NJ

Duties:

  • Manage eDiscovery work on complex litigation matters.
  • Supervise and coordinate the execution of eDiscovery projects to ensure they meet project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Draft and negotiate discovery-related protocols, orders, and agreements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the case team (including partners) and clients regarding the execution and status of eDiscovery projects.
  • Coordinate with case teams, clients, and vendors on the identification and collection of client data.
  • Create accurate budgets and estimates for review projects, and manage monthly revenue forecasting and invoice review.
  • Develop and manage document review workflows, including implementing a quality control process.
  • Oversee the preparation of document productions.
  • Provide guidance and training to review attorneys to ensure quality work product and performance.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.

Requirements:

  • Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction where applying.
  • 3-5 years of experience working in eDiscovery (in-house, law firm, or government).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and perform well under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or LL.M. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and business judgment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
