Job Overview:
A reputable law firm located in Providence, RI, is looking for an experienced SSDI/SSI Disability Lawyer to join their team. This position involves handling a significant caseload, and the ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of relevant experience. The lawyer will be expected to work independently with high proficiency and contribute to the firm’s success by providing expert legal counsel to clients seeking Social Security Disability benefits.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in SSDI and SSI disability claims and appeals.
  • Provide legal guidance through the application process, ensuring all paperwork is filed accurately and timely.
  • Develop case strategies for clients seeking disability benefits.
  • Communicate with clients, Social Security Administration representatives, and other legal professionals.
  • Handle hearings and other legal proceedings related to SSDI/SSI cases.
  • Stay updated on changes in disability law and regulations.
  • Review medical records and other evidence to build strong cases for clients.
  • Draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and client correspondence.
  • Provide ongoing support to clients throughout their cases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in SSDI/SSI disability law.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • An active member in good standing of the State Bar.
  • Strong knowledge of SSDI and SSI regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of cases.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to represent clients with empathy and professionalism.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be a member of the State Bar in good standing.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) regulations.
  • Proficiency in legal research, case management, and client relations.
