A law firm seeks a skilled securities attorney to join its Investment Funds Group in Austin, TX. This is a professional-track (non-partnership) position aimed at an attorney with substantial experience in structured securities offerings, particularly within commercial real estate transactions. The role involves advising and representing a range of clients, including real estate investment trusts (REITs), public and private companies, and institutional investors, across transactions such as acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, complex financings, and property developments.

Duties:

  • Lead structured securities offerings, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with client goals.
  • Represent clients in various real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, complex financing, and development projects.
  • Offer strategic legal guidance on real estate finance and investment structuring to support client objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, partners, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate seamless transaction processes.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support complex financial transactions and regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years experience in managing structured securities offerings, with a focus on commercial real estate law.
  • Extensive knowledge of real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and best practices in real estate investment structuring.
  • Prior experience with a top-tier law firm, ideally within the AmLaw 100.
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member in good standing with the Texas State Bar.

  • Sound business judgment and effective decision-making abilities.
