Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced and driven Litigation Attorney for its Melville, NY office. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of foreclosure litigation experience and will be responsible for managing a substantial caseload, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and representing clients in various legal proceedings. The position offers a unique opportunity for growth within the firm, with a potential partnership track.

Duties:

• Manage and prioritize a high-volume caseload related to foreclosure litigation.
• Draft and review pleadings to ensure compliance with relevant state, federal, and local laws.
• Attend hearings, status conferences, and other legal proceedings as required.
• Interact with clients, opposing counsel, and team members to advance cases.
• Provide innovative solutions to complex legal challenges and mitigate client risks.
• Collaborate with other legal professionals within the firm on case strategy and development.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in foreclosure litigation.
• Strong understanding of foreclosure, bankruptcy, and mortgage banking legal principles.
• Proven ability to manage a large, complex caseload effectively.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Member in good standing of the New York State Bar.

Certifications:

• Active New York State Bar membership is required.
