A law firm in Boca Raton, FL, is seeking a Veterans Disability Attorney with a strong commitment to advocating for veterans. The ideal candidate will have a deep-seated passion for veterans' rights and a proven track record in handling agency and Board of Veterans' Appeals (BVA) cases. This role involves representing veterans in disability claims and appeals before the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the BVA and requires excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.

Duties:

  • Advocate for veterans in disability claims and appeals before the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Board of Veterans' Appeals.
  • Conduct detailed case analyses to develop and implement effective case strategies.
  • Prepare and present legal documents such as briefs, motions, and appeals, ensuring they are backed by thorough research and sound legal arguments.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on case progress and guidance through the legal process with empathy and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff within the firm to ensure a unified approach to case management.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and policies that impact veterans' benefits and use this knowledge to serve clients better.
  • Participate in outreach and educational programs to support and empower the veteran community.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with any State Bar.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in veterans' disability law, including direct experience with agency and BVA processes.
  • Demonstrated passion for veterans' advocacy and a commitment to providing high-quality legal services.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts and case updates clearly and empathetically.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) required.

Certifications:

  • Must be an active member in good standing with a State Bar.
