The successful candidate will have a proven background in insurance coverage and extracontractual claims.

Duties:

• Handle insurance coverage litigation, including claims of an extracurricular nature
• Independently manage a caseload from inception to resolution
• Collaborate with a team of legal professionals on complex litigation matters
• Draft and file legal motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
• Appear in court for hearings, motions, and trials as needed
• Conduct in-depth legal research to support case strategies
• Maintain communication with clients to provide updates and manage expectations

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7-9 years of experience in insurance coverage litigation and extracontractual claims
• Ability to manage cases independently and work effectively within a team
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Proficiency with legal practice management software, preferably Pro Law (an asset)

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Florida (required)
