A law firm seeks a motivated and reliable Associate Attorney to join their non-litigation practice, with the flexibility of a fully remote role after an initial training period. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice law in South Carolina and will handle a wide variety of legal matters, including business law, family law, landlord-tenant disputes, consumer matters, and estate planning. Duties

  • Provide detailed telephone consultations to clients on a wide range of legal matters, including business law, family law, landlord-tenant issues, consumer law, and estate planning
  • Draft letters, contracts, and other legal documents
  • Review and analyze contracts and legal documents to ensure compliance and protection for clients
  • Negotiate settlements and resolve client issues through effective communication and legal strategies
  • Perform legal research to support client consultations and advice
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients to ensure their understanding of the legal process
  • Manage a significant volume of cases while maintaining organizational efficiency
  • Prioritize tasks to meet productivity goals in a fast-paced, remote work environment

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing with the South Carolina Bar
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to multitask and manage a high volume of cases
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Capacity to work independently in a remote environment
