Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement & Case Intake:
    • Establish trust with clients through empathetic and clear communication.
    • Collect and document all relevant facts related to liability, damages, and coverage.
    • Define action items for the firm and client to ensure an effective legal strategy.
  • Investigation & Case Development:
    • Lead thorough investigations to strengthen cases, collaborating with expert witnesses when necessary.
    • Assess insurance coverage and gather essential evidence to bolster claims.
  • Negotiation & Settlement:
    • Strategically negotiate with insurance adjusters to achieve optimal settlements.
    • Prepare cases for trial while carefully evaluating Full Settlement Value.
    • File lawsuits and guide clients through the litigation process when needed.
  • Litigation & Trial Preparation:
    • Draft pleadings and discovery documents in preparation for litigation.
    • Strategize trial plans and execute mediation or arbitration when applicable.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work in tandem with paralegals, demand drafters, and other attorneys to ensure cases progress smoothly.
    • Review and sign off on correspondence and documents created by team members.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in managing and resolving high-value cases.
  • Ability to build strong cases and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent negotiation and litigation skills.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to client success.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • J.D. (Juris Doctor) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in New Jersey.
