Entry Level Immigration Attorney

A law firm seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated Entry Level Immigration Attorney to join their growing team in the Las Vegas area. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly admitted attorney to gain valuable experience in the field of immigration law. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of skilled attorneys and legal professionals while managing a variety of immigration cases. The position offers significant potential for professional growth within a well-established legal practice.

Duties:

• Offer legal counsel and strategic solutions to clients facing immigration issues
• Represent clients, both detained and non-detained, in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals
• Manage a caseload of immigration cases, ensuring timely progress and resolution
• Conduct client intake interviews with detained individuals at detention centers
• Prepare various immigration applications, including family-based petitions and removal defense filings
• Review and revise immigration petitions and application packets for accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate with law enforcement, community organizations, and prosecutorial bodies regarding changes to immigration law
• Meet with potential clients for consultations, develop case strategies, and assess available immigration options
• Prepare clients and witnesses for testimony in court or during USCIS interviews
• Analyze client cases to identify possible legal benefits and develop appropriate strategies
• Draft and submit legal briefs for a range of immigration matters

Requirements:

• 0 to 3 years of experience in immigration law
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with team members
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively, ensuring cases progress promptly
• Preferred bilingual (English/Spanish), but not mandatory
• Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, EOIR cases, detained cases, citizenship applications, and other USCIS filings
• Proficiency with case management software is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar of Nevada (or eligible for admission)

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Nevada (or eligible for admission)
