Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Baton Rouge is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 2-4 years of active litigation experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong academic credentials, excellent communication and writing skills, and will be prepared to handle various aspects of litigation cases.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on assigned cases.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
• Manage discovery processes, including written discovery and depositions.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts regarding case status and developments.
• Assist in case strategy development and execution.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations.
• Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and legal precedents.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff within the firm.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Louisiana or eligibility for admission by reciprocity.
• 2-4 years of active litigation experience.
• Strong academic credentials, including law school ranking and class standing.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Education and Certifications:
