Senior Associate Attorney

A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney with a strong background in insurance defense and/or medical malpractice. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting legal research, writing, and analysis to support senior attorneys and partners. This role involves drafting legal documents, participating in client meetings, attending court conferences, reviewing medical records, and supporting attorneys in litigation and trial preparation.

Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support senior attorneys and partners.
• Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Participate in client meetings and case discussions to provide legal insights and updates.
• Attend court conferences, depositions, and hearings as required.
• Review medical records and draft detailed reports to aid in case evaluation and strategy.
• Assist in litigation preparation, including discovery, pre-trial motions, and trial proceedings.
• Collaborate with the legal team to develop case strategies and ensure effective case management.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in New York (New Jersey admission is a plus).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance defense and/or medical malpractice.
• Strong understanding of legal procedures, terminology, and court systems.
