Duties:

• Represent clients in personal injury cases from inception to conclusion, including settlement negotiations and trials.
• Conduct depositions, draft legal documents, and argue motions.
• Provide regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about case developments.
• Lead mediations and engage in strategic case development.
• Participate in trial preparation and jury trials.
• Work closely with support staff to manage caseloads effectively.
• Research, analyze, and apply laws relevant to personal injury and civil litigation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience practicing personal injury or civil litigation; 5+ years preferred.
• Proven success in jury trials.
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the Mississippi State Bar.
• Strong knowledge of the Mississippi Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.
• Demonstrated ability to draft and respond to legal motions effectively.
• Strong communication and client management skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Mississippi State Bar.

Certifications:

• Active Mississippi State Bar membership is mandatory.
