Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly skilled Litigation Attorney to join its New York office. The ideal candidate will have experience in general liability defense litigation, medical malpractice, construction accidents, and other complex litigation matters. Duties

• Case Management:
  • Handle cases from initiation through resolution, including drafting complaints, pleadings, motions, and discovery demands.
• Courtroom Representation:
  • Conduct court appearances, argue motions, and advocate for clients during trials.
• Depositions:
  • Take and defend depositions effectively.
• Client Service:
  • Maintain excellent communication with clients, providing updates and legal strategies tailored to their needs.
• Legal Research and Writing:
  • Perform in-depth legal research and draft high-quality legal documents, including memoranda and briefs.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with a team of attorneys to strategize and achieve optimal outcomes for clients.

Requirements

Experience

• 2–4 years of litigation experience, particularly in general liability defense, medical malpractice, construction accidents, commercial disputes, personal injury, and related areas.
• Proven ability to manage cases independently while collaborating within a team.

Skills

• Strong advocacy and courtroom presence.
• Exceptional research, analytical, and writing capabilities.
• Effective interpersonal skills to foster client relationships and teamwork.
• Proficiency in managing deadlines and handling multiple priorities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York Bar is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Spanish language proficiency is a significant advantage.
