A law firm in Phoenix is seeking a Real Estate Finance Partner with extensive experience in advising lenders across various real estate finance transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in negotiating and managing complex loan documents and a proven ability to generate business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert counsel to clients in real estate finance transactions, including construction loans, homebuilder acquisitions, development loans, healthcare real estate financing, dealer finance (floor planning), ground leases, bridge and mezzanine loans, EB-5 debt, syndications, forbearance arrangements, and deed-in-lieu transactions.
  • Draft and negotiate loan documents and related agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct or oversee due diligence processes related to real estate finance transactions.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, delivering value based on the firm’s core principles.
  • Utilize the firm’s national platform and resources to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in Arizona.
  • Portable practice preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience specializing in real estate finance, with a focus on representing lenders.
  • Proven track record of handling all stages of financing transactions, from negotiation through to closing and ongoing advisory services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with business development and client retention strategies.
  • Familiarity with local and federal real estate laws and regulations.
  • Ability to manage and mentor junior attorneys and legal staff.
