A law firm seeks a Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate Attorney for their Los Angeles, CA location.

 

Job Overview:

The Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate Attorney will play a pivotal role in handling intellectual property matters, particularly patent and/or trade secret litigation, and providing comprehensive counsel to clients.

 

Duties:

  • Advocate for clients in intellectual property litigation, focusing on patent and/or trade secret disputes.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies and client advisory.
  • Draft and prepare various legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and client communications.
  • Engage actively in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and partners to devise effective case strategies and manage client relationships.
  • Offer legal guidance and assistance to clients on a diverse range of intellectual property issues.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be admitted to a State Bar.
  • Possess strong academic background in law and undergraduate studies.
  • Preferred undergraduate degree in Biology, Chemistry, Materials Science, Genetics, Biochemistry, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in intellectual property matters, specifically in patent and/or trade secret litigation.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, leadership skills, and willingness to assume increased responsibilities.
  • Exceptional research and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of legal and business principles relevant to intellectual property cases.

 

Education/Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to a State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Proven track record in intellectual property litigation.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Strong analytical prowess.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
