Junior to Mid-level Associate Attorney needed for Baltimore office

Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking a junior to mid-level Associate Attorney to join its team dedicated to fighting for justice for survivors of sexual abuse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of litigation, including drafting complaints, responding to discovery requests, conducting depositions, and preparing for trial. Location:

• Baltimore, MD

Duties:

• Draft legal documents, including complaints and responses to discovery requests
• Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses
• Independently manage a caseload
• Develop a deep understanding of legal issues related to sexual abuse survivors
• Collaborate with colleagues to prepare for trials and hearings
• Provide strategic guidance on case development and settlement negotiations
• Represent clients in all stages of litigation, from pre-trial to trial

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation
• Experience representing plaintiffs in injury matters is preferred; however, experience in insurance defense or other relevant litigation is also considered
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
• Passion for advancing justice, particularly for survivors of sexual abuse

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in Maryland

Skills:

• Strong civil litigation experience
• Experience in drafting and responding to discovery
• Skilled in conducting depositions and preparing for trial
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to independently manage a caseload and build expertise in a specific area of law
