A law firm is seeking a Mid-level to Senior Labor, Employment, and Workplace Safety Associate Attorney to join their Raleigh office. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in advising, litigating, and investigating employment and labor issues. This role involves drafting and reviewing employment policies and documents, handling employment aspects of business transactions, and providing strategic legal counsel. Strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively are essential.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on employment and labor issues, including compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Litigate employment-related disputes and conduct investigations into labor issues.
  • Draft and review employment-related documents such as offer letters, employment agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, employment policies, and separation agreements.
  • Provide legal support for the employment aspects of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
  • Develop and implement employment policies and best practices for clients.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and disputes involving employment matters.
  • Collaborate with team members and manage case files effectively.
  • Stay informed about legal developments and changes in employment and labor law.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in labor, employment, and workplace safety law.
  • Experience advising, litigating, and investigating employment and labor issues.
  • Proven ability to draft and review employment-related documents and policies.
  • Experience with the employment aspects of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar License in North Carolina (or eligibility for admission).
