Duties

• Provide clients with comprehensive advice on their legal rights and responsibilities
• Draft, review, and finalize legal documents relevant to each case
• Attend pretrial hearings and counsel clients on optimal strategies following each appearance
• Manage court appearances, trial preparation, motions, witness interviews, and legal research
• Use legal precedents to forecast potential case outcomes
• Handle multiple cases concurrently, maintaining high-quality legal service across each
• Conduct legal analysis to determine the potential benefits of each case for clients
• Gather supporting evidence to build a strong case for defense or challenge prosecution claims
• Prepare clients for depositions, develop strategic case goals, and collect testimony from witnesses and expert sources

Requirements

• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in criminal defense
• Proven track record managing complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels
• Strong teamwork orientation; collaborative with peers on strategy and case preparation
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus but not mandatory
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and client-focused approach

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the California Bar

Certifications

• Active and in good standing with the California State Bar
