Job Overview: A respected law firm in Indianapolis, IA is seeking a passionate and driven Attorney to join their team. This role involves advocating for individuals who have suffered harm due to the negligence of others, to maximize compensation for the victims and hold wrongdoers accountable. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, results-driven, and committed to achieving the best outcomes for clients.

Duties:

  • Client Intake & First Meetings:
    • Establish trust with clients through compassionate communication.
    • Accurately document facts related to liability, damages, and coverage.
    • Outline necessary actions for both the client and firm to position the success case.
  • Investigation:
    • Lead investigations to strengthen case development, ensuring thorough fact-finding and evidence collection.
    • Assess insurance coverage and coordinate with experts to gather critical case evidence.
  • Negotiation & Litigation:
    • Prepare cases for trial, while also evaluating potential Full Settlement Value.
    • Build and maintain relationships with adjusters, negotiating assertively to achieve favorable outcomes.
    • When necessary, file suit and manage the litigation process, guiding clients through each step.
  • General Responsibilities:
    • Review and sign off on team members' correspondence promptly.
    • Collaborate seamlessly with the team to ensure cases progress efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to establish rapport and advocate for clients with integrity and determination.
  • Strong understanding of trial procedures, negotiations, and case management.
  • Ability to manage a high caseload while maintaining quality client service.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Indiana.

Skills:

  • Expertise in personal injury law and litigation.
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
