A law firm in Seattle, WA is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney with a robust academic background, exceptional research and writing skills, and comprehensive case management experience. The ideal candidate will be adept at working independently as well as part of a collaborative team, and will handle complex litigation matters with professionalism and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee litigation cases from inception through resolution, including drafting and filing pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support case strategies and provide sound legal advice.
  • Prepare and present compelling arguments in court, administrative hearings, and other legal settings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and other legal professionals, ensuring clarity and precision in both verbal and written correspondence.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to coordinate case activities and ensure timely progression.
  • Produce high-quality, accurate, and timely work product while meeting all deadlines and expectations.
  • Handle client communications, including responding to phone calls, emails, and other correspondence efficiently and professionally.
  • Foster positive and productive working relationships within the firm and with external parties.
  • Adhere to all firm policies and procedures, contributing to a respectful and compliant work environment.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activities as required, such as prolonged computer use, virtual meetings, and in-person consultations.
  • Perform additional duties, tasks, or projects as assigned by firm leadership.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a well-recognized and respected law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar in Washington or eligibility for admission via waiver.
  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, ideally from an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Proven experience in managing litigation cases and handling complex legal issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong research and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
