A law firm in Independence, OH, is seeking a dedicated Creditor's Rights Attorney to join their team. This role requires managing assigned matters using the Firm’s case management and reporting software, handling court appearances, and potentially traveling for cases. The ideal candidate will possess solid knowledge of consumer credit collections, relevant state laws, and the FDCPA while exhibiting exceptional client care and proactive communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage assigned matters utilizing the Firm’s case management and reporting software.
• Represent clients in court and handle associated legal proceedings.
• Ensure compliance with consumer credit collection laws, state regulations, and the FDCPA.
• Communicate proactively with clients to provide updates and address concerns.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve case objectives and client satisfaction.
• Attend meetings and court appearances as required, which may involve travel.
• Maintain accurate and thorough case documentation and records.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Must be a member in good standing of the Ohio Bar.
• Multi-state licensure is strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in consumer credit collections and creditor’s rights law.
• Working knowledge of state laws regarding consumer collections and the FDCPA.

Education and Certifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the Ohio Bar, with multi-state licensure preferred.
