This position requires an attorney with 4-7 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling insurance coverage issues, particularly under professional liability, general liability, and directors' and officers' insurance policies. The firm is known for its successful representation of insurers in complex and high-exposure coverage and reinsurance matters.

Duties:

  • Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and other essential litigation documents.
  • Handle all aspects of discovery and discovery motion practice.
  • Conduct depositions and attend court appearances, consistent with experience level.
  • Manage and represent clients independently, while also working collaboratively with a team.
  • Participate in business development and client management efforts.
  • Provide innovative legal solutions in complex insurance coverage matters.

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
  • Strong experience in drafting and handling litigation motions, depositions, and court appearances.

  • Prior involvement in business development and managing cases independently.

Education:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Excellent academic credentials.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of North Carolina.
