Mid-level Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm is seeking a talented and motivated Mid-level Litigation Associate Attorney to join its San Francisco, CA team. This role is ideal for an attorney with a strong background in litigation, particularly in product liability and complex commercial litigation. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills and thrive in a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Supervising associates and assisting in their development.
• Working with experts to support case strategies.
• Assisting with fact development and conducting depositions.
• Reviewing and drafting discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
• Helping to develop and implement case strategies.
• Producing deliverables, answering phone calls, and replying to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
• Providing timely, accurate, and high-quality work products.
• Successfully meeting deadlines and performing work duties as required.
• Fostering positive work relationships within the firm.
• Complying with all firm policies and practices.
• Engaging in physical and sedentary activities, such as working at a computer for extended periods, participating in virtual conference calls, and attending meetings.
• Performing all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

• 3 years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Experience in product liability and complex commercial litigation.
• Experience with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry and clients.
• Admitted to practice in CA.

Education and Certifications

• JD degree.
• Strong academic credentials from nationally recognized schools.
• Additional degrees such as MD, MPH, PharmD, or in Epidemiology are preferred.
