Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks an enthusiastic and driven Litigation Attorney to join its full-service legal practice in Oxnard, CA. This position is well-suited for candidates with expertise in tort liability litigation, defense of health and human service providers, public entities, and general business matters. The ideal applicant will have strong litigation and case management skills, along with excellent legal analysis and writing abilities.

Duties

• Manage and direct litigation cases, including trial preparation and strategy development.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure comprehensive case management and effective legal representation.
• Draft and review legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery materials.
• Engage with clients to provide updates and facilitate clear communication regarding case progress.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.
• Represent clients in court, advocating effectively during trials and hearings.
• Oversee and mentor junior attorneys and support staff involved in casework.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Valid Bar license in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Proven experience in litigation, particularly in tort liability or related fields.
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• Active membership in the Bar of the relevant jurisdiction.
