The successful candidate will work closely with a supportive team of attorneys and legal professionals to manage a diverse caseload, represent clients in various immigration proceedings, and contribute to the firm’s mission of providing exceptional legal services.

Duties:

• Represent clients in both detained and non-detained removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Prepare and file a variety of immigration applications, including family-based petitions, removal defense, and other USCIS forms.
• Conduct client intake and strategy sessions, especially with detained individuals at detention centers.
• Collaborate with colleagues and legal assistants in managing and advancing caseloads.
• Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases, ensuring high-quality legal analysis.
• Work with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on immigration law changes.
• Provide legal consultations to potential clients, determining case strategies and next steps.
• Develop and execute strategies for client representation, including preparing clients and witnesses for court or USCIS hearings.
• Regularly review case files, identify necessary adjustments, and ensure accurate and timely filing.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-4 years of experience in immigration law.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proven ability to handle a caseload efficiently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
• Experience in representing clients in family-based immigration, removal defense, humanitarian relief, and other USCIS applications.
• Familiarity with Case Management Software (preferred).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar.

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California.
