IP&T Transactional IP and Trademark Attorney

Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Transactional IP and Trademark Attorney to join its dynamic Intellectual Property & Technology (IP&T) practice. Location:

Duties:

• Manage domestic and international trademark strategy and clearance searches.
• Oversee trademark prosecution, defense, and enforcement in the United States and worldwide.
• Provide counseling on trademark and copyright matters, including licensing and enforcement.
• Conduct IP due diligence for clients and support IP litigation.
• Collaborate with other practice areas such as corporate law, franchising, antitrust, and international trade to provide comprehensive legal advice.
• Work on IP licensing and copyright prosecution and enforcement, including Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) matters.

Requirements:

• 6-12 years of experience in intellectual property law, specifically in trademark and copyright matters.
• Extensive experience in trademark strategy, prosecution, defense, and enforcement.
• Strong academic credentials with a proven ability to produce concise and effective written work.
• Excellent time management, judgment, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across various legal disciplines.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• In-house experience is a plus, as well as non-legal work experience.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state corresponding to the office
• Must be in good standing with the state bar.

Skills:

• Expertise in domestic and international trademark law and strategy.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Broad intellectual property experience, including IP licensing, litigation support, and due diligence.
• Ability to distill complex legal issues and provide clear, practical advice.
