Junior Private Equity Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Chicago is seeking a Junior Private Equity Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will represent middle-market private equity funds and their portfolio companies, focusing on mergers and acquisitions. Duties:

• Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties verbally and in writing.
• Produce high-quality deliverables, respond promptly to correspondence, and handle phone calls efficiently.
• Meet deadlines and expectations while adhering to firm policies and practices.
• Participate in physical and sedentary activities such as extended computer work, digital conference calls, and meetings.
• Represent private equity funds and portfolio companies in mergers and acquisitions.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Minimum 3 years of transactional law experience, preferably in private equity or related fields.
• Prior experience with an AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC.
• Admitted to practice law in Illinois.
