Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patentability searches and draft patent applications in mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering fields.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel on intellectual property matters, including patent prosecution, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
  • Manage intellectual property portfolios and assist clients in developing strategies to protect their IP assets.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews and IP audits.
  • Negotiate and draft IP agreements, licenses, and assignments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or computer engineering.
  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Qualified to take or planning to take the Patent Bar exam.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for intellectual property law and a commitment to professional excellence.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Team player mentality with the ability to build strong client relationships.

Education and Certifications:

  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
