Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking an entry-level Immigration Attorney to join their team. This position presents an excellent opportunity for a newly admitted attorney to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. As part of a well-established immigration practice, the selected attorney will collaborate closely with senior associates and legal assistants, managing a diverse caseload and interacting directly with clients. Duties:

• Provide clear explanations of immigration law and offer strategic solutions to clients.
• Represent individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Manage and prioritize an active caseload of immigration matters.
• Conduct client intake sessions with detained individuals at detention centers.
• Prepare and file various immigration applications, including removal defense, family-based petitions, and humanitarian cases.
• Review and adjust immigration application packets as necessary.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations to stay updated on changes in immigration law.
• Hold strategic consultations with prospective clients and devise appropriate legal strategies.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for court appearances and USCIS testimony.
• Offer legal analysis to assess potential benefits for clients’ cases.
• Draft and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration matters.

Requirements:

• 0-3 years of experience in immigration law, with a strong willingness to learn and grow.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
• Proven ability to manage and advance legal cases efficiently.
• Familiarity with Family-Based Petitions, EOIR proceedings, detained cases, citizenship, and other USCIS applications is highly valued.
• Experience using case management software is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in good standing.
