Job Overview: A prestigious law firm located in San Juan, PR, is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Associate Attorney. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a wide range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
  • Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, and in mediations and arbitrations concerning employment matters, including class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contracts, employment torts, and non-compete cases.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to employers on an extensive range of labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop proactive strategies that align with the client's business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • A minimum of 4+ years of litigation experience, with a strong background in employment law preferred.
  • Active admission to the PR bar or the ability to obtain admission quickly.
  • In-depth understanding of current court and employment-related agency procedures at both state and federal levels.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in Puerto Rico or eligibility to obtain admission.

Skills:
